Sara Nović is the author of Girl at War, “an extraordinarily poised and potent debut novel” (Financial Times) about a girl coming of age as war begins across Yugoslavia. Acclaimed as one of the best books of 2016 by several media publications, it won the American Library Association’s Alex Award and was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. Nović teaches in the Fiction M.F.A. program at Emerson College and is an instructor of Deaf studies at Stockton University.
