Wednesdays on the Stoop: Cynthia Dewi Oka

Wednesdays On the Stoop is a series of free programming by Zoom every Wednesday from 4 pm - 5 pm. The sessions are designed to be a constant structure--every Wednesday at 4 you can count on Blue Stoop to plug you into your writing energy with an informal and supportive space.

Join poet, organizer, and educator Cynthia Dewi Oka for a hands-on session designed to help you lineate poems with confidence and expression.  Bring a couple of 1-page draft poems for experimentation.

Cynthia Dewi Oka is the author of Fire Is Not a Country (2021) and Salvage (2017) published by Northwestern University Press, and Nomad of Salt and Hard Water, first published by Dinah Press in 2012, with a second edition of new and revised poems published by Thread Makes Blanket in 2016. She currently serves as a Poetry Editor at Kweli Journal.
