Nathan Alling Long grew up in a log cabin in rural Appalachia, worked for five years on a queer commune in Tennessee, and now lives in Philadelphia. Their work has won or placed in over 20 contests and it appears on NPR and in various publications, including Tin House, Glimmer Train, Witness, and Story Quarterly. Their collection, The Origin of Doubt, was a 2019 Lambda Literary Award finalist.
